Happy New Year | Welcome 2020

Happy New Year | Welcome 2020

Recap by Chamber President /CEO Daniel Jackson

Looking back in review, 2019 was an excellent year for the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce. Out of many new goals, we completed all but one; our attendance and participation at programs and events were exceptional, and our committees and committee chairs did a superb job.

We added new seminars that were well attended, and we saw a lot of new faces at those events. Our re-activated Agri-business committee hit the ground running and had a good year. Our golf tournament was the most successful in modern history, and maybe it was the best tournament ever.

Bill Stone, our 2019 Board Chair, was fantastic. He led, participated, spoke, and encouraged, and generally, set a very high standard for all who follow him in that leadership role. Our Executive Committee provided positive leadership and direction, and the board was engaged and most supportive.

Rhyne Owenby, our Director of Member Engagement and Katlyn Bradshaw, our new Manager of the Burson Center, have both have been wonderful additions to our team.
We redesigned the web site and recently went live. The continued focus on #thinkcarrollfirst has served us well, and the addition of the positivity campaign and emphasis and support of small business has been well received.

The lobby renovation started in early December and should be completed by mid to late January. We are excited about the opportunity to greet members and guests with a shiny, new look at the Chamber.

The entire year was busy with business expansions and new business openings. We ended the year with a flurry of ribbon cuttings and groundbreakings, which is exciting for our whole community.
All that said, we are very pleased with the results of 2019, and we are equally excited about the new plans and goals for 2020.

Thank you for supporting the Chamber as a member, as a Forward Carroll Sponsor, and for supporting our events and activities with resources and participation.

On behalf of our chamber team, we appreciate the opportunity to represent you and this great community.

Happy New Year!

Your Chamber President
Daniel Jackson
